Peach Days In Hurricane!

Peach Days sounds a little funny to all of you who haven't had the pleasure of being there yourself! It is Hurricane Cities summer festival, and they pull out ALL the stops! It was so funny to see how the 4th of July and Pioneer Day parades paled in comparison to the hour long EVENT the PEACH DAYS parade was! We got there just in time to sit next to Steph and Caleb and Spencer's great friend Tippy! At first the kids were a little timid and nervous to get out there and GO FOR THE CANDY! But as soon as they realized if they weren't willing to run for it they wouldn't get it, THEY MADE IT HAPPEN!After the Parade we got our favorite family treat.... SNOW CONES! I decided to just let the boys go for it, and GO FOR IT they did! Spencer was really good, he wasn't going to waste one drop of that treat! Cooper on the other hand was STRUGGLING with the spoon! And because he wasn't about to let a little thing like a spoon get in his way he completely covered himself in RED slush! It was so funny! He loved it, I figured it was the LEAST of my worries and so we let it go!

They had a great FREE craft for the kids to do in the morning! It was so much fun, they gave you an apron with their name on it and a great wood craft! While we were in line Spencer just sat there WATCHING all the other kids! He was so fascinated! We originally went for the airplane but decided that was a better project to do with DAD when we had
lots of time! So Spenc and I worked on a SWEET football stool! We were able to use real nails and a big boy hammer and glue! He was SO EXCITED!

He did a great job hammering and gluing!

There was a fun kid carnival with rides and jumpers! The boys REALLY wanted to go on the tractor train together! It was HYSTERICAL because the operator told Spenc he needed to put his arm around Coop so he wouldn't fall out! SO... my being the GREAT big brother he is; he held on to his little brother REAL tight! After a turn around we helped Spencer (and Cooper) loosen up a little and they
had a GREAT ride!

Superman and His Papa!
The boys jumped and slide around until the CRASHED!

We had a VERY full and exciting day! By the end of the day we all felt like THIS! But it was totally worth it! I am already looking forward to next year!
