My Heleman's Warriors

What do you do at dinner? Well when BJ is studying and the boys and I are home alone we... SING! Last week we had a Family Home Evening on Heleman's Warriors and there was this FUN chant that went a long with the story. We have been singing our chant in the car, cleaning up, playing with toys and especially at dinner!

Its a little hard to hear what they are saying (especially when Spencer does his silly embarrassed voice)

I dont know what I've been told

Heleman's warriors are very Bold

They love their Moms

And Choose the Right

Full of faith they'll win the fight

Shake It Shake It Babe-A

So Spencer LOVES the movie Chicken Little! For some reason he really relates with Chicken Little, the main character! He loves to repeat funny catch phrases and strike poses like him and then say "look Mom I am just like Chicken Little!" 

(This is his favorite pose to copy! He loves it!!!)

They also sing songs on the movie like the old Spice Girls song "Wannabe!" ( I know, a great song for a 4 year old right?) Well Spencer loves to sing the "I'll tell you what I want what I really really want, So tell me what YOU want what you really really want" part over and over!

YESTERDAY though he started singing the song that they play during the CREDITS of the movie... AT THE END! He is that into that he sings the last possible song on the movie! The only words he knows are "Shake it Shake it Baby!" But he says it SO funny! I had to make a video! Please excues my nasty voice, I am getting over a cold!

Spencer is really picking on the way people talk to each other! Today we were trying to pick out a snack! The boys were being a little picky and so finally I broke down and offered them some Pringles! Yes that's right sometimes (ok, often) I give my kids CHIPS as a snack! We eat fruit and drink water (on occasion) as well! But back to the story! When I asked Spencer if he wanted the chips he looked at me and said ABSOLUTELY! In the cutest most sincere, "of course I do" way! SO I tried to get him to say it just as cute with the camera on! Here it is:

Ok, he really did say it all by himself at first! In the video I kinda had to work with him to get him to say again! It was so much better the first time around, but you get the idea!

"My Tummy Says...."

I have to write down this little Spencer-ism! I couldn't stop laughing when he said it and I don't want to forget it!

We were on our way home from grocery shopping, to drop the car off so BJ could get to a work meeting! We had planned to go over to AJ's to play but forgot BJ had to have the car! I was trying to explain to Spencer that it was no big deal that we could just see AJ the next day, but he was really disappointed! I had used AJ's house as the reward for his good behavior at the store (DANGIT)!

SO in his attempt to negotiate,
He says "Mom we can walk to AJ's, that will be fun"
So I said "But its late and its been raining all day, we will get all wet!!"
He thought for a minute and says "That's ok " My tummy says (in a very deep voice now)" I want some RAIN WATER"
I started laughing and said "What was that your tummy said?"
He says (in that same deep TUMMY voice) "I want some RAIN WATER"

He had come up with a fool proof plan! I mean how can I argue with his tummy? It was so cute, and I must say very creative! When we got home we made dinner together and watched a movie to try and soften the blow of not going to AJ's and not having any RAIN WATER for that thirsty TUMMY!
